To add a campus Xerox or laser printer to a Mac, follow these directions:

  1. Go to System Preferences --> Printers and Scanners
  2. Click the + button to add a new printer
  3. Select "IP" from the top menu
  4. Find the IP Address of the printer you are trying to add. There is a list of common printers below, or here is a complete list. You must be signed in to your berkeley.net account to view this document.
  5. Input the number (starts with 10.137...) into the "Address" field. If you did it correctly, the printer model will automatically populate below.
  6. You'll want to change the "Name" field too since that is how you will identify the printer when you want to use it.
  7. Under "Use" be sure "Generic Postscript Printer" is selected.
  8. Hit Add and OK.
  9. Didn't work? Check to see that the printer is powered on and ready to go. Try one more time.
